You deserve the best, so we harvest only the best to deliver the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit.
About
Want to know how our the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit delivers intense colour, rich flavours that is incredibly sweet?
We pick from the outer edges of the orchard trees, so our stone fruits soak up the most amount of sunshine to deliver on this premium promise each year.
the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit includes juicy white fleshed peaches and nectarines, succulent yellow fleshed peaches and nectarines, plump apricots and luscious plums.

Unique points of difference
Montague and our network of Australian growers, nurture the trees year-round to develop a premium fruit that is sure to satisfy. 100% hand-picked, the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruits are grown with natural sunlight, nutrients and care.
Unlike no other, the new generation plum varieties are best enjoyed firm straight from the fruit bowl. With high natural sugars, a hint of tart, these plums are ideal to enjoy fresh in a rocket salad with goats cheese, grilled on the BBQ or as a healthy dessert.
Each fruit must meet high quality specifications including flavour, sweetness, size and appearance first, then they will be awarded the MONTAGUE tree™ sticker. Any fruit that doesn’t meet this strict standard is sold under a different brand or donated to charity. Montague is passionate about reducing food waste in Australia and is striving to find more channels to re-purpose ‘imperfect fruit’.

Seasonality
To be enjoyed each summer, our the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit is harvested from early November to March each year and is available for the Australian summer season.

Growers
Basking in sunshine, the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit thrives in the following orchard locations across Australian: Stanthorpe, QLD, Perth Hills and Donnybrook District, WA, and Swan Hill, Cobram, Katunga and Shepparton districts in Victoria where the climate is warm with hot dry summers and cool nights, growing sweeter fruit.
Pictured on the right is Dean Morpeth from SHARP Fruits, one of our longstanding growers of stone fruit. Dean is a fourth generation farmer and an important member of the extended Montague family.
Dean’s favourite way to eat stone fruit:
“Aside from eating the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruit fresh because they are very flavoursome, our children really enjoy them stewed with a side of custard. Or on nights when the BBQ is going, cut a peach or plum in half, grill flesh side down, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and top with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream- yum!”

How to eat
Enjoy the MONTAGUE tree™ stone fruits fresh, or try roasting the MONTAGUE tree™ plums in balsamic, and serve with burrata, fresh basil and toasted pine nuts.
The best way to store your stone fruit is to keep them in the fruit bowl until they reach the perfect ripeness, then enjoy or place them in the fridge to keep their firmness.
