The Orchard incorporates a stunning café, Stella’s Kitchen offering dine in with orchard and garden views or take away to enjoy on the lawns, a pick your own orchard, a retail store Bill’s Orchard Gate, where you can taste and shop seasonal fresh produce in addition to locally sourced artisan products.
Situated right next door to the 220-hectare Lysterfield Park which features a range of recreational activities from the lake walking circuit, mountain bike trails, sailing, canoeing, bushwalking plus the chance to see some of Australia’s native wildlife including Kangaroos and birds.

Stella’s Kitchen (restaurant)
Named after the Montague family matriarch Stella, Stella’s Kitchen offers a new destination dining experience, a short drive from Melbourne CBD.
Get to know Stella, who cared for her family while they worked the orchard at Narre Warren North, through the menu which features a selection of her favourite recipes.
Dine on fresh, local seasonal produce, including fruit from the orchards as you enjoy views of the landscaped lawn and pick-your-own orchard from the open plan indoor dining area or outdoor covered deck.

Bill’s Orchard Gate (produce and gift store)
Bill’s Orchard Gate boasts a range of fresh produce, preserves, homewares and gifts, beautifully overlooking The Little Orchard and gardens. Featuring seasonal fresh produce and accompaniments to compliment your next recipe creation, entertaining at home or picnic in Lysterfield Park.
The store offers everything from local produce, chocolates, chutneys, a variety of teas and homewares from the renowned pottery artist Robert Gordon. Seasonal fresh juices are a local’s highlight after a walk around Lysterfield Lake and produce tastings are often available (when permitted by the pandemic regulations).
Pick your own orchard
The Little Orchard is situated in front of Stella’s Kitchen and offers a range of apples, plums, apricots, and nectarines. We are delighted to offer fun yet educational Orchard Tours that will leave you inspired to plant your own fruit tree at home. The fruit trees are growing every day through spring and summer, and we are preparing for the next season. We hope to recommence our popular tours in January 2022.

We go behind-the-scenes of our state-of-the-art fruit processing facility and uncover the fruit sorting and packing process to get it from the orchard to supermarket shelves. Montague is excited to welcome visitors to tour our new expanded fruit processing facility that has the capacity to process more than 280 million pieces of fruit each year. The informative yet fun tour includes something for everyone and will resume in mid-January 2022.
