After becoming a global sensation in the apple world, Ambrosia™ was added to our Montague family of apples in 2016 and enjoyed its first season on supermarket shelves in 2020.

Thriving in the summer and autumn sunshine, Ambrosia™ is picked and available from late March to late October each year. The combination of late summer and early autumn sunshine contributes to the development of Ambrosia™ apples’ exceptional taste and colour.

As the days grow shorter and cooler, Ambrosia™ apples continue to ripen, developing their signature red-blushed skin and sweet, aromatic flavor. Growers
Ambrosia™ apple trees have been a delightful addition to the Montague orchard. First planted in Australia in 2016, Ambrosia™ is grown across our apple growing network in Yarra Valley (VIC), Batlow (NSW), Adelaide Hills (SA), Stanthorpe (QLD) and Tamar and Huon Valley (TAS).
These trees produce a popular and flavorful apple variety known as the Ambrosia™ apple. With a distinct sweet and tangy taste, Ambrosia™ apples are a favorite among fruit enthusiasts. The trees themselves are medium-sized and can reach a height of about 15 to 20 feet.
They are characterised by their beautiful pinkish-white blossoms in the spring, which transform into medium-sized, red-blushed fruits in the fall. Ambrosia™ apple trees require well-drained soil and full sun exposure to thrive. With the proper care and maintenance from the Montague family, these trees will provide bountiful harvests for years to come.
