VICTORIA, 17 January 2018Montague, Australia’s leading family-owned fresh produce company, has launched the 2017-18 summer fruit season once again with their reputable stone fruit brands ‘CROC EGGS’ and ‘the MONTAGUE tree’.

Following more than a decade of research, CROC EGGS and the MONTAGUE tree brands have been produced based on findings that highlighted consumers preferred stone fruits with natural sweetness, a firm bite and, intense colour and full, rich flavours.

CROC EGGS plums are renowned for their juicy flesh and high natural sugars while the MONTAGUE tree range features juicy white fleshed peaches and nectarines, succulent yellow fleshed peaches and nectarines, plump apricots and luscious plums.

Grown by Australian farmers in Queensland (Stanthorpe), Victoria (Swanhill, Cobram and Shepparton) and Western Australia (Donnybrook, Perth Hills), the stone fruits will be handpicked at the optimum time to make sure they are firm, juicy and sweetened from their natural sugars this summer.

Over the past 10 years, Montague has introduced over 50 new cultivars of nectarines, peaches, plums and apricots into Australia. Sourced from breeding programs in California and Spain, Montague has carefully selected each stone fruit variety for its superior flavour, expressible juice and large size.
